Tropes/Elements: Alpha Male, Mafia Hitman The insta-love was a little over the top for me, but it was still angsty and spicy. The banter between Kage and Natalie is to die for. Kage tries to keep his work and personal lives separate, but things don’t turn out as planned when he falls for his target, now he will do anything to protect her, even if it means eliminating his boss. The only problem? He’s a hitman for the Russian Mafia, sent there to eliminate her. Until she met the ruggedly handsome and dangerous new neighbor, that she can not stopping thinking about. Natalie was devastated on the night of her wedding when her fiancé mysteriously disappeared, and five years later, Nat is still struggling. This book follows Nat’s and Kage’s story. Ruthless Creatures is the first book in the Queens and Kings series, told from a dual point of view.
I just couldn’t get enough, although it was not my favourite in the series, it was still an excellent read. Geissinger, and I absolutely fell in love with the writing style, the creativity, the spice, the chemistry. This was the first novel I came across by J.T.
